The Association is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all event participants. All attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner, and misconduct of any kind is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. Prohibited behavior includes, but is not limited to: unwanted physical contact; unwelcome attention, pestering, or stalking; inappropriate behavior or comments based on gender, race, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics; abusive or violent behavior toward any individual; heckling, badgering, or interrupting any speaker, event, or session; and any indication that a person is under the heavy influence of drugs or alcohol.
If any attendee, Regular Member, Officer, or Board Member witnesses or experiences harassment or misconduct, they are encouraged to notify an Officer, Board Member, or Committee Member—these individuals will be identified at the start of each event. Should an Officer, Board Member, or Committee Member become aware of a violation of this policy, they are authorized to take appropriate action. Such action may include, but is not limited to: requesting a change of seats, removal of the individual from the event, prohibition from attending future events, referring the matter to the Board of Directors for potential disciplinary action, or contacting law enforcement if necessary.
y purchasing a ticket to or attending any Association event, all participants agree to abide by this Harassment and Misconduct Policy and acknowledge the right of the Association to enforce it as needed.
